Avoid the cost and inconvenience of returned items with free overdraft protection.

Overdraft protection allows you to link your Checking account(s) to their Member Savings, Money Market Savings, and/or Personal Line of Credit accounts for overdraft protection.

Should an overdraft situation occur, funds will be transferred automatically to cover the overdraft.

Transfers will be made in $100 increments and are limited to a maximum of six per month.

 

Unless you choose otherwise, funds to cover an overdraft in your Checking Account will be transferred in the following order:

  • Available funds in your Primary Savings account will be transferred to your Checking account. 
  • If there are insufficient funds available in your Savings account to cover the overdraft and you have a special purpose Savings account, transfers will be made from this account.
  • If there are insufficient funds available in your Primary Savings account or special purpose Savings account(s) to cover the overdraft and you have a Money Market Savings account, transfers will be made from this account.
  • If there are insufficient funds available in your Primary Savings account, special purpose Savings account(s), and Money Market Savings account(s) to cover the overdraft and you have a Personal Line of Credit in good standing, loan advance transfers will be made from this account. These transfers are subject to finance charges from the date of advance as described in Spectrum's Credit Line Account Agreement and Disclosure.
